Sacha Baron Cohen

The FBI declined to investigate a possible child sex trafficking ring in Las Vegas after comedian Sacha Baron Cohen provided them with footage of a hotel concierge offering to procure a young child for the prankster.

In an interview with Deadline, Baron Cohen describes a scrapped sketch for his provocative show Who Is America? in which he went undercover as various outrageous characters and filmed politicians signing waterboarding kits, screaming racial slurs, and even triggering a fake bomb to murder Women’s March protesters.

In the sketch, Baron Cohen played an Italian billionaire playboy named Gio Monaldo interviewing a concierge in a Las Vegas hotel during about the time that Harvey Weinstein’s history of raping aspiring actresses was made public. The idea was to investigate the systems that protect men like Weinstein’s sexual predations. With the cameras rolling, Sacha Baron Cohen as Gio revealed to the concierge that he has molested an eight-year-old boy.

“Now, mind you, this is extreme comedy and we thought that the guy would leave the room. Instead, this concierge stays in the room and I go, listen, you’ve got to help me get rid of the problem. And this guy starts advising Gio how to get rid of this issue. We even at one point talk about murdering the boy, and the concierge is just saying, ‘well, listen, I’m really sorry. In this country, we can’t just drown the boy. This is America we don’t do that.’ And then, in the end, he puts me in touch with a lawyer who can silence the boy. I became really dark stuff. And then at the end of the interview I say, listen, I want to go out and celebrate now. Can you get me a date for tonight? He says, ‘what do you mean, a date?’

“I go, you know, like a young man. He says, ‘well, what kind of age?’ I say, lower than Bar Mitzvah but older than eight. And he says, ‘yeah, I can put you in touch with somebody who can get you some boys like that.’”

Sacha Baron Cohen said the show immediately reached out to the FBI, who declined to investigate, despite the concierge telling Baron Cohen that “he’d worked for politicians and various billionaires.”

While the concierge didn’t say which billionaires he had worked for in the past, Jeffrey Epstein is one of the more notorious billionaires known for being sexually predatory toward children. Epstein had a private plane known as the “Lolita Express” in which he purportedly had a harem of child sex slaves for he and his guests to enjoy. Both President Trump and former President Bill Clinton were guests on the Lolita Express.

As multiple media outlets reported last month, President Trump’s Secretary of Labor, Alexander Acosta, worked to help cover up Epstein’s sex crimes as a U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. New York Magazine reported that Epstein pleaded to two mild prostitution charges despite dozens of teenage girls providing identical testimonies of multiple, repeated sex crimes, and was given a 13-month sentence in which he was allowed to commute to work out of his own private office for 12 hours a day, six days a week, and serve the rest of his time in a private wing of the prison.

Sacha Baron Cohen said he did not air the segment, because it was “too dark and wrong.” The Las Vegas FBI and special agent-in-charge Aaron Rouse did not return Grit Post’s phone calls and emails requesting comment as of this writing.
