A police officer in England, Arkansas has been fired after video emerged of him harassing black residents and trying to intimidate them with his dog.

In a video posted to social media, residents Demarcus Bunch and Shannon Scribner, his cousin (who are both African American) are filming a music video in the rural Arkansas town of roughly 3,000 people when they notice an officer — who eventually identified himself as “Mike Moore” — following them.

When Bunch and Scribner approached the officer to let him know who they were and that they were doing, the interaction, which was filmed on July 21, escalated, with Moore threatening to sic his dog on the two men minding their own business.

“I was wondering, ‘Why is he doing this,” Bunch said in an interview with local media. “We’re in small England. Everybody knows everybody.”

The video shows the two men calmly explaining to Moore that not only are they residents of the town, but that they’re related to one of the officers on the England, Arkansas police force.

“We are Dale Scribner’s nephews,” Bunch said, referring to his uncle on the force. “We just noticed you’ve been following us everywhere.”

“You know why? Because you don’t belong in my city,” Moore said.

“We’re from here,” Bunch responded.

“But you understand, I know who my people are, right, who belongs here and who doesn’t? We’ve got gang wars going on, we’ve got all kinds of stuff,” Moore said, seemingly suggesting he thought Bunch and Scribner were involved with a gang.

“Step away from my car. I’m about to bring my dog out,” Moore added, as he walked away.

Later, as the two men walked away, Bunch wondered out loud why Moore threatened to get his dog.

“You don’t even have probable cause to get your dog,” Bunch narrated.

“Ain’t nobody doing no wrong out here. He’s the one doing wrong, he’s bringing that dog out,” one of the people present at the scene is heard saying after the exchange.
